Wake ‘N Break No. 54 – Funky 4/4 Gallop Groove

Hey hey hey hey! Here’s the groove from this morning’s wake ‘n break session. It’s pretty straight forward and I call it a galloping groove because the hi-hat pattern is similar to that of a horse when it’s funning. As always, if you dig it, have fun with it and make it your own! :)

Wake ‘N Break No. 53 – A Tribute To Zigaboo Modeliste

It figures that the one day I actually wake up in NPT (Normal People’s Time), there is a blackout preventing me from recording. Well, the power finally came back and I got to cooking. Today’s session was inspired by one of my favorite drummers, Zigaboo Modeliste of The Meters. I hope you enjoy this one because it’s slinky and dirty, just like I like it! :)

Top of the morn…errr…afternoon to you! :p For this morning’s wake n break session, I had fun coming up with what I call a one drop shuffle.
